Tuesday, July 24, 2007
VIEW WEBINAR
A California Air Resources Board representative (CARB) discusses the requirements of the recently approved airborne toxic control measure (ATCM) to reduce formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products including hardwood plywood, particleboard, and medium-density fiberboard. The ATCM also applies to finished goods made with composite wood products.
The presentation focuses specifically on the ATCM requirements for furniture manufacturers who fabricate using composite wood products. The major provisions of the regulation include 3rd party certification, emission limits, and chain-of-custody requirements. An update on ongoing ATCM implementation activities such as the enforcement program, product testing capabilities, chain-of-custody, and 3rd party certifications will be provided.
