The AHFA developed their own Environmental Management System (EMS) in the late 1990’s to help its members create and maintain a strong, proactive environmental program, making them industry leaders. This program is called Enhancing Furniture’s Environmental Culture (EFEC) and demonstrates the AHFA member’s commitment to leading our companies in ways that benefit society, the economy, and the environment while maintaining a strong commitment to consumers, the community, employees, and shareholders. Obtaining EFEC Certification is a basic requirement of the AHFA’s Sustainable by Design program (SBD). This Webinar provides the financial benefits of EFEC including case studies from member companies, how EFEC is integrated with the AHFA SBD Program, and the “nuts and bolts” of the EFEC program including the eleven required elements and certification process.
