SFI, Inc. is a fully independent, registered non-profit organization, whose governance structure equally represents three chambers – social, economic and environmental – which are solely responsible for the SFI Program. SFI is a research and science-based standard that takes careful consideration of forestry issues of interest in the marketplace, and through its continual improvement process, often builds new requirements into its standard that reflect a thoughtful and comprehensive approach. This presentation will provide an overview of the SFI certification systems, current areas of emphasis (such as marketing and green building), and provide up to date information on the SFI Program.
